Laila’s Impromptu feat. Monita Tahalea

back when i was working on Monita Tahalea’s 3rd album, Dari Balik Jendela, specifically on the song Laila, i was recording a lot of improvisation and sample mangling using monome norns, piano and Monita’s voice, like about half an hour of recording.

some of it make it thru, and become the intro part of Laila. but there’s still a lot of good stuff in that improvisation recording that i really like. so i decided to scan thru the recording, doing some editing, and released it as single track.

i it made in touch designer, part of my attempt learning the software. need to revisit, i’m forgetting how to use TD.
